Every workout does not need to be the hardest one ever, but an opportunity to move your body in a way that feels good. As a competitive dancer right through my time dancing for Pitt, I’ve always known the benefit of movement. At 13, I began incorporating yoga as a way to balance my dance training, and quickly discovered benefits that went far beyond a great workout. That experience led me to explore other movement practices that empowered both my body and mind. Over the years, I’ve learned how to truly tune in to my body and listen to its cues. I wanted to share that skill with others, so while majoring in Exercise Science at Pitt, I got my Group Fitness Cert, and it all took off from there!
Outside the stu, I work in pharmaceutical sales during the week, am a personal chef for my family on the weekends, and a full time Auntie. My family is #1 to me and being an aunt to my nieces is my fav job. I love to shop, try new restaurants, and regret going to every steelers game, I am a yinzer through and through!
What Leah says about her class: “When I teach, I want each person to feel welcome and empowered. If they can take away one positive moment from class, I am happy.”
What others are saying: “I absolutely love Leah’s class. The energy is great, the playlist is always on point, and she blends classical Pilates movements in so seamlessly. She has a bubbly personality and it’s a workout I truly look forward to.”-Leah Patterson
