need to know

Every element of the flo experience is thoughtfully considered—including the way we care for our shared space. Our studio policies are here to protect the experience of every guest we have the priveledge of welcoming to our space. Together, we create an environment where movement, connection, and presence can thrive. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain the experience our community has come to know and love.

Late Cancel & No-Show Policy

To keep our classes accessible and fair for everyone, especially those on our waitlists, we kindly ask that you cancel your reservation as early as possible if you're unable to attend.

  • Cancellations made within 8 hours of class will incur a $10 late cancel fee.

  • If you reserve a spot in class and do not attend without canceling, a $15 no-show fee will be charged.

We also understand that our waitlists can get lengthy, but there's still a very good chance you'll get into class! We highly recommend downloading our app, "Flo Yoga Studio Pittsburgh," which makes it easy to book classes, cancel reservations, and track your spot on the waitlist.

If you're on a waitlist and aren't sure you'll be able to attend if a spot opens, we recommend removing yourself from the waitlist ahead of time to avoid any late cancel or no-show charges.

Thank you for helping us create the best possible experience for our community and for giving others the opportunity to practice when plans change.

Please Plan to Arrive Early

At Flo, we begin every class on time and do not allow late entry once class has started.

This policy exists to protect the experience, safety, and intention of every class. The beginning of class is dedicated to settling in, connecting with your breath, and creating a calm, focused environment. Late arrivals can disrupt this experience for both the instructor and students.

Many of our classes also utilize props, with students often lying on their mats as class begins. Allowing late entry creates unnecessary distractions and increases the risk of injury.

We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to get settled and enjoy the full experience.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing a water bottle, yoga mat, and towel (if you prefer to use one during your practice).

We have a water fountain available to refill your bottle, and boxed water is available for purchase in our refrigerator.

Forgot your mat? No worries! Your first mat rental is complimentary, additional rentals are $3 each.

Parking

Strip District

Parking is available in the Hive parking garage (rates vary depending on the time of day and length of your stay). Nearby street parking is also available.

South Hills

Free parking is available in the mall parking lot directly in front of the studio.

No matter which location you're visiting, we recommend arriving a little early to allow plenty of time to park and walk to the studio before class begins.

Give Us a Beat

We kindly ask that you give us a beat between classes!

Our team needs at least 15 minutes to clean, reset the room, and prepare for the next class. During this time, we ask that you relax and mingle in the lobby until the "Give Us a Beat" sign has been removed.

We take pride in providing a clean, organized, and welcoming space for every student. We know everyone has their favorite spot in the room, but we appreciate you respecting the sign and giving our team the time they need to get everything ready.

We'll get you into the studio as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience!

Class Etiquette

A few things to know before stepping into the studio!

  • Need to leave early? We completely understand! Please let your instructor know before class begins and choose a spot toward the back of the room near the door so you can exit quietly with minimal disruption.

  • Please remain in the studio until class ends. If you do need to leave early, take your props with you rather than leaving to return them and coming back into the room. Limiting traffic in and out of the studio helps us maintain the heat and allows everyone to stay focused.

  • Keep the studio a quiet space. We love a good kiki as much as anyone, but once you enter the practice room, we ask that you keep conversations to a minimum and refrain from talking during class. Feel free to catch up with friends before or after class in our lobby and community spaces.

Phone Use in the Studio

We love a sweaty mirror selfie as much as anyone, but there's a time and place!

To help create a distraction-free environment, we kindly ask that photos be taken before or after class. If you'd like to record your practice, please set up in the back row and be mindful not to capture other students in your video.

We also ask that there be no phone use during class, including texting, scrolling, or answering calls. If you choose to bring your phone into the studio, please make sure it is silenced before class begins so everyone can fully enjoy the experience without interruptions.

Thank you for helping us create a respectful, welcoming space for our entire community.

we want you to feel comfortable when entering our studio. if you have any additional questions please contact us.
