meet kara.
I want to give back to others what was so generously given to me. My yoga started as a supplement to my dance training– my first true love. After a 25 year stay in that world saw me living in New York, dancing in Italy, and owning my own dance studio, I knew it was time to move on to something new. Always with an eye on teaching, I received my Master’s in Secondary Education in 2012.

My road has not been easy; mental health struggles have always been part of my story. When I decided to get sober and tackle my demons with food, yoga provided a safe haven in my darkest moments. The mind-body-spirit transformation I found through yoga was the catalyst for me to become a teacher and share all these benefits with others, but it also gave me the quirky sense of humor you will come to know and (maybe?) love! Always eager to keep learning and growing, I’m currently completing my teaching 300-hour certification.

What Kara says about her class: Fluid like a dance but always with an extra challenge you might not see coming. Expect somatic work to bring you more present within your body, but always with an air of not taking ourselves too seriously.
What others are saying: “I walk into a Kara class not even knowing what I need and leave with the clarity, strength & calmness I was seeking. High energy, challenging, beautifully choreographed to playlists and fun! #prodigious”- Kerri Evans
