meet marissa.
I saw yoga release my perfectionism and invite in peace. I started my yoga journey to cross train my competitive dance training when I was 17, meant to inflate my type A personality (I was flexible so of course I’d be good ). That plan backfired, and yoga immediately disconnected me from my fast-paced personality and perfectionism. The connection to self and mental health benefits I found inspired me to share it with others.
I work full-time as a Physician Assistant in medical oncology, and my care for my patients is always present in how I care for my students as well. I also love to cook and am obsessed with finding amazing new coffee shops. (good recs anybody??)
What Marissa says about her class: Students can expect a welcoming, fun, adventurous, challenging, and mindful class with a fire playlist. I take playlisting VERY seriously, and don’t worry, my Spotify is public.
